Your planner information
Updated 9 October 2026.
The Plumbing School uses your name, verified email address, account identifier, registration date, and email preference to provide your free bathroom planner and track account registrations. Passwords are handled by Netlify Identity; The Plumbing School does not receive your password in a contact list.
Private plans and account storage
Your saved room dimensions, fitting layouts and project names are stored privately through Netlify and are accessible through your account. Please use a simple project name and avoid adding customer names, addresses or other personal information. Customer details and room plans are not copied into our shared Google Drive business folder.
Room scan imports and product links
RoomPlan JSON files are processed in your browser. We do not upload the original scan, photos, location or address. Import creates a rectangular room with dimensions; only this converted project is sent when you save it to your account. A separate scanning app has its own privacy policy. Product links you enter are stored with your private project. Use public product links without customer or order details.
Course emails are your choice
The optional course-email box starts unticked. The free planner works whether or not you tick it. If you opt in, we record your choice, its wording and the date, and The Plumbing School may email you about courses, dates and offers. You can withdraw this choice using the unsubscribe button in the planner while signed in, or by emailing us. Withdrawing does not affect your free planner access.
Free access and your information
The planner is free to use with a verified account and has no time limit. No payment is taken. Existing accounts, including expired trials, can use the planner again. Your account and saved projects remain stored so you can return to them. Download a project anytime if you want a local copy. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact hello@theplumbing-school.co.uk.
Essential account storage
The planner uses essential session cookies and browser storage for sign-in. The planner does not add advertising trackers. Netlify processes account and hosting information to run the service.
Optional planner analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics records planner page visits, successful account submission and verification, new planner registrations, planner opens, successful saves, project export requests, print requests, and clicks towards course or contact pages. A download event means your browser was asked to save a JSON project; it does not prove the file was saved. Print requests do not prove a PDF was created.
We do not send your name, email, password, account identifier, project name, room measurements, saved plan, or sign-in tokens to Google Analytics. Analytics uses cookies to recognise returning browsers and reports approximate locations and traffic sources. Analytics cookies are optional and separate from course-email consent. The planner works if you decline. You can change your choice through Analytics cookie settings at the bottom of the planner. New tracking cannot reconstruct earlier activity.
