Build your own business website in two days.
Bring your laptop and your ideas. Build a practical website for your business, with step-by-step help from Mike.
Additional software, domain and email costs are paid directly to suppliers.

You’re already looking at the example.
We’ll use The Plumbing School website to show how clear pages, useful content and straightforward booking links work together.
Then you’ll apply those ideas to your own business: your branding, your services and your customers. We focus on a manageable first website you can understand and update yourself. The school’s full website has developed over time; recreating every feature is not the promise of this two-day course.
Make your business clear
Plan your home, services, about and contact pages. Use your own photos and write useful content.
Help customers take action
Add clear enquiry links and, where appropriate, a simple Shopify shop or buy buttons.
Keep control afterwards
Own your accounts, understand your running costs and learn to make everyday updates.
Your two days
Turn your ideas into pages
- Decide who your website is for and what it needs to do.
- Organise your pages, photos, business details and wording.
- Build and review a mobile-friendly business website.
Get ready for customers
- Work through domain, hosting and business email setup.
- Test contact forms and add simple Shopify selling links where needed.
- Cover basic SEO and practise updating your website.
Suitable for beginners, sole traders and small business owners. Complex business systems, bespoke apps and advanced integrations are outside the two-day scope. Ask Mike before booking if you need something more involved.
What will it cost?
£150 for both days of tuition
Allow a provisional £150–£170 extra for software and initial website setup. That is approximately £300–£320 including tuition. This allowance is not a fixed quote or a cap: your software plan, supplier prices, taxes, domain and email choices affect the final amount. Confirm current costs with Mike before booking.
Pay software, domain, email and any hosting charges directly to the suppliers in your own accounts. Some services are billed annually.
- Building software: one month may be enough. Cancel renewal when finished if you no longer need it; later edits using paid tools may require another subscription.
- Hosting: free hosting may suit a simple site within usage limits. Paid plans or upgrades cost extra.
- Domain and email: ongoing renewal charges apply.
- Optional Shopify selling: subscription and applicable payment or transaction fees are extra ongoing costs, outside the allowance above.
A simple exported website hosted separately can stay online after the building-software subscription ends. Keep any services needed to run your website and shop active.
Bring your laptop and ideas
- Laptop and charger.
- Your business idea and the services or products you want to offer.
- Any logo, photos and wording you already have.
- Access to your email and any existing domain or website accounts.
No coding experience required.
